The Australia Today under legal attack from Khalistanis

Australian media house The Australia Today is facing a legal battle against Khalistanis. The media house has been at the forefront when it comes to covering Khalistanis in Australia.

The legal battle of The Australia Today

After Bharatiya diplomats, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun targeted the news portal and its team of journalists who work on the ground exposing Khalistan and its activities on Australian soil.

The media house is dedicated to news, analysis, and opinions from Australia focused on multicultural communities and the Bharatiya subcontinent. Amit Sarwal, Pallavi Jain, and Jitarth Jai Bharadwaj run the news house along with their team of journalists. Sarah Gates highlighted how Jitarth Jai Bharadwaj, Founder and Editor in chief of The Australia Today, was targeted by Khalistanis.

“Dr Bakshish Singh Sandhu, President of the Council of Khalistan at Sikhs for Justice, came outside the event just to photograph him. He’s seen standing with Pak propagandist Murtaza Ali Shah in pic two”, she tweeted.

The camaraderie shared by Sandhu and Ali appears to hint at some kind of Khalistani-Pakistani nexus. The fact that Sandhu came out just to photograph Jitarth is suspicious, to say the least, and indicates that the media house was being targeted by Khalistanis.

Earlier, the media house had highlighted the threat it faced at the hands of Khalistani terrorists. The Khalistani group ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ), labeled as a terrorist organization by Bharat, has issued threats against The Australia Today team. SFJ’s leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, featured the newspaper’s Editors in a propaganda video, inciting hatred against Bharat and Hindus, and making a gun gesture.

This occurred following Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s assurance to Bharat’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi that attacks on Hindu temples would face legal consequences. In addition, Khalistan supporters in Brisbane released a poster displaying the Editors’ names and images, along with those of the Indian High Commissioner and Honorary Consul.

Some of the anti-Hindu and anti-Bharat hate crimes covered by The Australia Today

The news portal has probably earned the ire of the Khalistanis owing to its coverage of anti-Hindu and anti-Bharat hate crimes. Here are some of the important stories covered by The Australia Today:

1) The attacks on Hindu temples were reported by the media house. The Australia Today covered news about the attacks on Melbourne’s BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Melbourne’s Shiva Vishnu Mandir, Melbourne’s ISKCON Temple, Brisbane’s Shree Laxmi Narayan Mandir, and Sdney’s BAPS Swaminarayan Temple. The temples bore the brunt of Khalistani hatred in Australia as they were defaced with anti-Bharat slogans and graffiti.

2) The Australia Today was one of the media houses that reported on the attack on Hindu leader Yogesh Khattar’s business in New South Wales by Khalistani elements.

3) They raised concerns regarding the Australian Defense Forces (ADF) participating alongside the Khalistanis.

4) They have covered Khalistani terrorists and their activities extensively without fear or bias.

5) They also covered the assault on Hindus by Khalistanis at Federation Square. “Police were in attendance at a Khalistan Referendum event at Federation Square on 29 January when two incidents of attacks happened, one at about 12.45 pm and the other at about 4.30 pm. During the attacks, flag poles were used by several men as weapons which caused physical injuries to multiple victims”, reported Australia Today.

This is merely a snapshot of the fearless journalism undertaken by Australia Today and its team. The team is now faced with a legal battle and requires $70000 for the same. The media house is seeking financial aid from its supporters to fight this battle.
