Australia: Bharatiya student brutally assaulted with metal pole by ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ chanting men

A Bharatiya international student was brutally assaulted by 4 Khalistan supporters around dawn today in Sydney, Australia. The badly injured student is admitted in Westmead Hospital, reports Australia Today.

The victim, who has requested his identity not be revealed, was on his way to work at 5.30 AM in Sydney’s western suburb of Merrylands, when he was attacked.

“I work as a driver and my vehicle was parked just 50 meters from where I live. As soon as I sat in my driving seat these Khalistan supporters came out of nowhere. One of them opened the left side door of my vehicle and hit me with an iron road on my cheekbone under my left eye. After which they opened the driver-side door and dragged me out of the vehicle and started beating me with iron rods,” he told Australia Today.

“Two of them were doing video recording on their phones while 4-5 were hitting me from all sides. “They were repeatedly raising the slogan “Khalistan Zindabad” the whole time. Everything happened within 5 minutes and they left saying this should be enough lesson to me for opposing the Khalistan issue, if not they are ready to give me more lessons like this,” he recalled.

Someone from the neighborhood or passersby on the street called police after seeing the incident, and the police officers called paramedics at the scene who took the Bharatiya student to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries to his head, leg, and arm.

In a statement, a New South Wales Police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 5.40 am on Friday 14 July 2023, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended Rupert Street, Merrylands West, following reports of an assault. Police have been told a 23-year-old man was walking along Rupert Street before he was assaulted by four men armed with a metal pole. The 23-year-old was allegedly kicked, punched, and hit with the metal pole repeatedly before the four men left the scene in a grey sedan. The man was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment. Inquiries are continuing, anyone with information is urged to contact the police.”

The victim is going through corrective surgery on his arm, which is split open at the elbow area. reports Australia Today.

Khalistanis living in the Anglosphere have grown increasingly brazen and have been carrying out hate crimes like Hindu temple desecrations, attacks on Bharat’s consulates with impunity for a few years now. But now matters have escalated to physical attacks, and when some Hindus living in Australia like Vishal Jood try to resist the Khalistani thugs and defend themselves, they are in turn jailed by the pro-Khalistani Australian system and forced to return to Bharat.

Yogesh Khattar, the President of Indo Australia Sanatan Society, visited the injured student in the Westmead Hospital and told The Australia Today that Hindus are being targeted and threatened by Khalistani extremists.

“I have been involved in regular discussions with the Engagement and hate crime unit (Australian police) and doing my best to reduce this tension within the community but it seems that these people believe in violence and creating an atmosphere of fear. My humble request to the Police is to catch these extremists and put them behind bars and don’t let them spread this hatred in our beautiful country,” Khattar said.

Sadly, the rampant Hinduphobia in the West, fanned equally by right-wing fundamentalist Christains and left-wing ‘liberals’, indicates that such crimes are not going to stop anytime soon, unless the Hindu community both in Bharat and abroad forces governments to act.
