Lohardaga Police arrested 2 criminals, including a TSPC extremist, for possessing illegal weapons: Jharkhand

Kudu police station in the Lohardaga district of Jharkhand arrested two people, including a hardcore militant of the extremist organization TSPC. It came to light that they were planning to carry out a major incident in Lohardaga. In such a situation, the police foiled their plans. Police have also recovered a revolver and two cartridges from them.

The arrested were identified as Islam Ansari (son of Mumtaz Ansari), who is a resident of Ledhpa village that comes under Latehar police station of Latehar district and is a hardcore militant of TSPC, and Enamul Ansari (son of Rafiq Ansari), who is a resident of Kudu block Maidan Hameed Nagar of Kudu police station area of ​​Lohardaga district.

Jailed for assault with intent to murder

Lohardaga’s Kudu police station team recovered a revolver and a 7.65 mm cartridge from Enamul Ansari. Two cartridges were recovered from Islam Ansari. It must be highlighted that Enamul Ansari has a criminal record, having already gone to jail in many criminal cases.

Recently, he was jailed on charges of assault and criminal intention of killing Kudu Circle Officer and his guard. After being released from jail, Enamul Ansari’s associates were caught by the Balumath police station while planning a crime with their associates in Balumath in Latehar district.

However, Enamul Ansari succeeded in escaping. On the other hand, Islam Ansari is a core member of the TSPC extremist organization. He was armed with an INSAS rifle by the organization. Furthermore, he was arrested and jailed by the Jobang police station. Three criminal cases are registered against him in Jobang police station.

Many cases registered against Enamul Ansari

Apart from cases of robbery and those under the Arms Act, many cases are registered against Enamul Ansari, such as theft of a pickup van, theft of a truck, and assault in different police stations, including Kudu police station in Lohardaga District, Murhu police station of Khunti district, Balumath police station of Latehar district and Chatra district among others.

Both were caught red-handed for possessing illegal weapons. Kudu police station in-charge Vishwajeet Kumar Singh had received secret information that two criminals, sitting in the Kudu block grounds and possessing illegal weapons, were planning some serious crime.

Lohardaga Police raided after information

After this, Kudu police station in-charge Vishwajeet Kumar Singh informed the senior officer about the matter and raided the Kudu block ground along with Kudu police station’s assistant sub-inspector Luvkush Singh, Suku Soren, constable Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Vijay Kumar Rana, driver constable Vinod Kumar Singh.

Seeing the police team, both the criminals attempted to flee the place. However, the police personnel pursued them for a long distance and ultimately caught them. Upon searching the duo, weapons and cartridges were recovered from them.

An FIR has been registered in Kudu police station in case number 117/23 under Section 25(1-B)A, 26, and 35 of the Arms Act in this matter. The police heaved a sigh of relief with the arrest of the terrorist duo. They were wanted in many cases, with different police stations on the lookout for them.
