Islamists trolling Mohd. Shami’s little girl expose ugly truth about themselves

Islamists have viciously trolled cricketer Mohammad Shami and his innocent daughter for celebrating Saraswati Pooja in ‘secular’ Bharat. This is not the first instance when a Muslim is hounded by fellow Muslims for showing respect towards other religions. What do we understand from this? Here’s a detailed analysis.

Despite random opposition and violence from radicals, Saraswati Pooja was celebrated on Basant Panchami with great fervour across Bharat by all sections of Hindu society. But the festival holds a special love among the students of Bengal, Bihar and Odisha, where Hindus came out in big numbers to pray to and seek blessings of Maa Saraswati.

In a unique occurrence, cricketer Mohammad Shami’s little daughter Aaira Shami participated in the vandana of Maa Saraswati on the day of Saraswati pooja and the doting father shared an adorable picture of hers. She was draped in a yellow saree with broad red border and stood in front of materials of pooja looking like a little Bina Pani herself.

This picture can in no way evoke feelings other than that of adoration and affection in the hearts of onlookers. But there are Islamists who know nothing beyond bigotry and are constantly looking for channels to vent out the venom brewing inside them. The adorable picture of Mohammad Shami’s daughter didn’t sit well with such fundamentalist Muslims and within moments, crossing all limits, they came out cursing the father-daughter duo. Some of the examples are below:

This is not the first time that a Muslim person has been trolled and faced severe criticism from the radicals in their community. We have covered previously how Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan had to face such radicals for posing next to a huge murti of Bhagwan Ganesh during Ganesh Chaturthi.

TMC parliamentarian, Nusrat Jahan, who is married to businessman Nikhil Jain, was not spared from intense hateful trolling for marrying a non-Muslim either. For sporting symbols that adorn a married woman of the Sanatan path, a Deoband cleric issued a Fatwa against the MP.

We can list down countless such instances when Muslims of slightly liberal outlook were chastised by their fanatical co-religionists for displaying the slightest sign of tolerance for other religions, and still there would be more to enlist.

What is interestingly contradictory in the behavior of this crowd is, this lot cannot praise enough when a non-Muslim visits their religious shrines, or a Hindu woman marries a Muslim man. No gang of radicalized Islamists found it objectionable when Virat Kohli visited Ajmer Sharif with Zaheer Khan, or Zaheer Khan married Sagarika Ghatke.

Hindu Bollywood celebs visiting the Ajmer Sharif Dargah is a regular scene, be it Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Deepika Padukone, Kapil Sharma or Priyanka Chopra. The Muslims of this country revel at such incidents celebrating ‘secularism’, brotherhood and unity. No Hindu gang goes after these celebs shaming them for respecting a different faith like the fundamentalists in the Muslim community.

Truth is, the radical, kattar followers of Islam who demand their faith and practices be respected by one and all are sternly against returning the favour to others when it’s time for them to prove their ‘secularism’.

They want Hindus, Sikhs, Christians to respect their Islamic identity and be with them in their rituals. This upholds the Constitution, they say. But during Diwali, they want to ingore Baba Saheb Ambedkar and his Constitution, and go with to Zakir Naik who forbids them from wishing a fellow Hindu citizen ‘Happy Diwali’ lest it affronts the principles of Islam.

Varun Dhawan observing Roza is the victory of Islam for them, while Md. Shami’s toddler finding joy in Saraswati Pooja is a threat. ‘Only take – No Give’ is the sole mantra of radicalized Islamists and they keep exposing their ugliness time and again.
