“On 31 October 2023, the Federation of All Muslim Organisations and Political Parties organised a protest to condemn Israel’s attack on Palestine. More than 3,000 members and leaders from these organizations reportedly joined the demonstration near Rajarathinam Stadium in Egmore, Chennai.
They accused Israel of “encroaching upon Palestine” with the support of the US, UK, and other nations, citing ongoing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people. The leaders criticised India’s decision to abstain from voting when the United Nations passed a resolution calling for a ceasefire.
The demonstration was led by Federation President P.A. Kaja Mohideen Baqavi. Prominent figures, including ManithaNeya Makkal Katchi President M.H. Jawahirullah, SDPI leader Nellai Mubarak, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalavan, CPM State Secretary K. Balakrishnan, and representatives from various political parties, also participated in the event…..”
