K’taka Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi says Hindu word is ‘vulgar’ & has ‘shameful’ meaning

The Congress has never failed to bear its anti-Hindu fangs despite claims of Rahul Gandhi being a ‘janeudhari Brahmin’. The latest Hinduphobic statement came from its Karnataka MLA Satish Jarkiholi who hails from a rich sugarcane-growing family and belongs to the Valmiki Nayaka community designated as Scheduled Tribe by the constitution.

Hindu word has ‘dirty’ meaning – Satish Jarkiholi

“Where has the ‘Hindu’ term come from? It has come from Persia…So, what is its relation with India? How’s ‘Hindu’ yours? Check on WhatsApp, and Wikipedia, the term isn’t yours. Why do you want to put it on a pedestal?… Its meaning is horrible: KPCC Working President Satish Jarkiholi says in the video shared by ANI.

It is quite interesting that Jarkiholi uses WhatsApp and Wikipedia as his sources of information. While WhatsApp forwards is often known to be misleading, information on Wikipedia also needs to be taken with a pinch of salt in view of the fact that it can be freely edited by anyone. In other words, both these sources aren’t completely reliable.

Origins of Hindu etymology

HinduPost has explained the meaning, origins, and Islamic distortions brought in to give the word a negative meaning. The distortion of the meaning by Indian Muslim scholars of Urdu and Persian of the term took place in the nineteenth century in the course of compiling Persian and Urdu dictionaries (Llugat). Gayasullugat, Saidullugat, Firozullugat, and  Kareemullugat were the dictionaries compiled in this period.

The Islamists with a biased attitude and crooked minds defined Hindus as Kala (black), chor (thief) and kaffir (non-believer of Islam) in their dictionaries thereby placing a negative connotation on the term that had thus far been used positively by Bharatiya natives.

These so-called scholars deliberately twisted the words of the Persian poet Hafiz who says “Agar aan Turke Siraji badast arad dile maara, va kaale Hindu ash vaksham Samarkand o Bukhara (If that girl of Siraj would bring back my heart to me I would give Samarkand and Bukhara in exchange for her black mole)”.

While the poetic meaning in Persian referred to Hindu as a black mole on a woman’s cheek, in other words, a beauty spot but the Islamists slyly chose only black leaving out reference to beauty. Similarly, the reference to one who steals one’s heart was purposely twisted out of context to mean thief.

That these distortions were the handiwork of Islamists who had nothing but contempt for Hindus and Hindu Dharma is crystal clear from the following pre-Islamic Persian and Arabic references and meanings assigned to the word.

We have already explained in detail how the word is rooted in Hindu Dharma granthas and its use predates Islamic Bharat. It must be pointed out that the loss of Sanskrit words over time is one of the important reasons why the word isn’t found in the Vedas and ancient Sanskrit scriptures. Even Chinese travellers to ancient Bharat have confirmed the use of the word in pre-Islamic Bharat.

Anti-Hindu Congress

The double-face of the Congress has often come to the fore where on the one hand its central leadership puts up a farce of being a Hindu, such as Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra’s temple runs during elections, while on the other, its local leadership heaps insult on the majority community and Dharma.

In January this year, Tamil Nadu Congress president KS. Alagiri justified their ally’s speech that the purpose of the Congress alliance is to destroy Sanatana Dharma. While talking about the purpose of the UPA alliance in his interview with Chanakya TV, KS. Alagiri justified ally Thirumavalavan’s speech, “Our alliance must last for a long time. BJP should be defeated. Sanatana Dharma should be destroyed…for that Congress must survive”. He was answering a question about UPA ally VCK’s chief Thirumavalavan saying that no one should take Mamata’s offer to form a new alliance.

In 2021, the Congress toolkit exposed the party’s Hindudvesh (Hinduphobia) and anti-Bharat stance. The toolkit instructs Congress leaders and supporters to politicize the Kumbh Mela gathering in Uttarakhand and malign the Hindu sacred gathering by labelling it a super spreader. At the same time, in keeping with Congress’ minority appeasement policies, Eid is to be portrayed as a ‘happy social gathering’. The toolkit also asks to co-opt ‘like-minded’ local and international media to keep hammering the point of Kumbh Mela being a super spreader.

Even though Congress often tries to fool gullible Hindus into believing that it is against ‘Hindutva’, the truth is that is just an excuse for the party to hide its contempt for Dharma. The temple runs, the ‘janeudhari Brahmin’ trick, Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi’s seasonal acts, and other such shows are nothing but the party’s way of tricking the ‘majority’ community. Congress leaders like Satish Jakirholi reveal the party’s deep-rooted hatred for Bharat’s indigenous Dharmic faith.

  1. This is the first time I came across such a definition of Hindu!
If Hindu means vulger, then Hinduism is a vulgarism! Is that Satish Jarkiholi wanted to mean ?
Amazing! A very shocking interpretation of the oldest religion that appeared on earth more than 3000 years back, spread far & wide acorr the globe and has come to stay. Mr Jarkiholi should better go to Dubai to see how the Muslims there adorn Hinduism, or he may visit ISKON Temple at Nadia, West Bengal to witness how so many Christians chant Lord Krishna!
