“No inter-religion land transfer in Assam without prior government permission. This means the Bangladeshi-origin Muslims will no longer be able to purchase land from Hindu people without prior permission from the state government.
Assam police Special Branch (SB) will verify the identity of the buyer of the property and also will investigate the source of his income before recommending the deal.
It has been seen that the Miya Muslims tend to purchase land from the Hindu community when they become the majority in an area in Assam…….”
