In Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, in a grand ceremony, the Pran Prathishta of the Ram Lalla took place in the sanctum sanctorum, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the dharmik rituals under the guidance of the pandit. Many prominent figures from the fields of industry, politics, entertainment, and sports were present at this event. As the nation celebrated the arrival of Ram Lalla, several liberals took to their social media handles to share their discontent – they posted images of the Preamble. Among them was former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen. Interestingly, several members of the Hindi film industry and other bigwigs including Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, etc graced the event.

Initially posted by writer-director Atul Mongia on Instagram, several actors including a few Kerala actresses and self-proclaimed secularists also shared the Preamble on their Instagram stories. Among them was Sushmita Sen.

As her Instagram story started trending, a few of her old videos started getting emerging because of her anti-Hindu stance. In these videos, she recites ‘Surah al Asar’, mentioning the ‘Quran’. She was also seen openly professing her love towards Pakistan and Islamic verses.

Videos of her interacting with her fans along with her daughters and boyfriend Rohman Shawl, a Kashmiri Muslim, where she recites the Islamic verses (together with the children) also made the rounds on social media.

Ironically, Sushmita has never given voice to address any of the Hindu genocide incidents but consistently seized opportunities to speak against Hindu Dharma and religious rituals.
