Double love jihad case in Gujarat, man in his 40s traps 21 year old Hindu girl

A serial love jihadi strikes again in Bilkha village of Junagadh in Gujarat. Sharafat Hasan Qadri, in his 40s, lured a Hindu girl aged 21 and eloped. Following the incident, tensions remain high in Junagarh, and locals observed a shutdown.

Qadri had fled with a Hindu girl ten years ago and has a 6-year-old child from that relationship. He converted her to Islam and married her. His latest victim went missing on 22 June, after which villagers began protesting. He tempted the young girl, who is not even half his age.

News about the double love jihad soon spread, and the situation in the area remained tense. Shopkeepers in the area joined the resistance and observed a strict shutdown. Hindu organization leaders met Junagarh police officials and submitted a memorandum.

Hindu Jagran Manch leader who spoke to OpIndia said that Qadri is a habitual criminal with a history of luring and eloping with Hindu girls. He added that there is resistance from the whole Hindu community in the region. They informed the police, but they refused to arrest the man.

All the Hindus from the village marched with Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal workers and met the Junagadh police SP. They registered a missing case and are thinking of taking legal action against Qadri.

Hindu Jagran Manch leaders asked the administration to arrest the accused and return the Hindu girl to her home safely. They promised more shutdowns and a fierce agitation if the administration did not meet their demands. The victim’s father said he wanted his daughter back at any cost.

The Saurashtra region in Gujarat has become a hotbed for the Islamist conversion mafia. Multiple cases are being reported from villages all over the place. Hindu organizations said that they would not allow this dangerous trend to continue.
