Congress student body NSUI activists have filed a petition with police and college authorities against a student from a college in Chikbalapur, Karnataka for his pro-Pakistan comments during the recent T20 World Cup match.

The screenshots attached with the NSUI tweet show a handle by the name bj_wani posting the Pakistan flag with the words “Kohli, your father has come…Babar Azam (Pakistan’s captain)”.

The college where the incident occurred appears to be SJC (Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji) Institute of Technology, going by one of the photos posted by NSUI.

The SJCIT college is situated on Bengaluru– Hyderabad National Highway, 45 kms from Bengaluru city. It was established in the year 1986 by Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (R.), run by Adichunchanagiri matha of the Natha Parampara. The trust runs more than 485 educational Institutions all over the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu & Delhi.

Till now, reports of Pak’s win being celebrated has also come from colleges in Srinagar, Patiala and Agra. A school teacher has been sacked in Udaipur. Crackers were burst in multiple Muslim-dominated parts of the country.
