“IIT Bombay cancels Hamas sympathiser Prof Achin Vanaik’s talk on Israel-Palestine conflict after students oppose”, Swarajyamag, November 8, 2023:

“The proposed lecture by Hamas-sympathiser Professor Achin Vanaik on the Israel-Palestine conflict at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has been canceled, Indian Express reported.

Originally scheduled for Monday evening, the event was postponed to Tuesday by IIT authorities. However, students received an email from the Department of Humanities and Social Science on Tuesday, announcing the cancellation of the lecture.

Professor Vanaik’s talk aimed to shed light on the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict and the consequences of the recent outbreak of violence…..”
