Today, on 16th of January, a protest rally was held in the heart of Kolkata, condemning the brutal attack on Hindu Sadhus in Purulia. ‘Sanatan Sanskriti Samsad’, the most prominent organisation of Hindu Sadhus in West Bengal, led the protest rally.
Besides, members of several Hindu organisations joined the protest rally.
Condemning the attack on Hindu Sadhus in Purulia, a protester in the rally said, “We wouldn’t tolerate the attack on Hindu Sadhus in the land of Swami Vivekananda.”
Others criticised the anti-Hindu stand of the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government. Labelling the present government as ‘anti-Hindu’, some Sadhus said, “The government does not care about Hindus. The government is busy with appeasement politics. That’s why attacks on Hindus are rising in the state.”
Apart from Sadhus, members of Viswa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Jagaran Mancha joined the rally. All protesters condemned the attack on Hindu Sadhus as well and demanded decisive action from the Police.
