A horrific incident in the Nohsa area of Phulwarisharif, near Patna, Bihar, has left the community outraged. A 17-year-old minor maid was raped and murdered; her semi-naked body was found in the bathroom of her employer, Islamist Mohammad Danish. Based on the reports from Hindustan, the crime has triggered violent protests, with angry locals demanding justice.
The young minor victim, who worked with her mother at Danish’s house, went alone on Monday morning as her mother was unwell. When she failed to return home, her family became alarmed and began searching for her. The search led to Danish’s residence, where the girl’s body was discovered in the bathroom, partially unclothed.
The shocking discovery prompted immediate accusations of rape and murder against Danish and his sister, who were present in the house. Furious locals attacked Islamist Danish, injuring him, and the situation quickly escalated.
The tragic incident sparked widespread anger in the community. Protesters placed the girl’s body on the road at Nohsa Turn, blocking the main thoroughfare. They burned tires, vandalized vehicles, and engaged in acts of arson. Police personnel who tried to pacify the crowd were pushed, and the unrest persisted for hours.
To control the situation, senior police officials, including City SP West Sharath RS along with teams from six police stations, were deployed. Despite their efforts, the protests intensified, paralyzing the area. The intervention of local MLA Gopal Ravidas and police negotiations eventually led to the clearing of the road late at night.
Islamist-perpetrated crimes against minor girls are not new in Bharat, especially in states like Bihar, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. This is yet another heinous crime that has surfaced.
In March, a Hindu girl was drugged and raped at a birthday party in Guwahati with accused Islamist Parvez Ansari. In Uttar Pradesh, Maulana Syed Mohammad Ashraf of Kichhauchha Dargah was arrested for raping a female devotee from Mumbai and issuing death threats to her. These incidents, which are tragically becoming more frequent across Bharat, reflect a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior by individuals who target vulnerable female victims. This is reminiscent of the Patna case, where an Islamist targetted a minor maid and committed a heinous crime, further highlighting the ongoing threat posed by such criminals.
