“Miscreants” pelt stones at Harsha’s funeral procession, 3 injured

The funeral procession of Hindu activist Harsha was disturbed by “miscreants” who pelted stones at the procession. Even though police protection was given for the procession, “miscreants” went on a rampage. As a result three people were injured in this attack and many vehicles were damaged and set on fire by the stone pelting mob.

Bajrang Dal worker Harsha, a 26 year old youth, in Karnataka was hacked to death by a mob on February 20. Islamists murdered him for supporting unifrom dress code in educational institutions in the midst of the hijab issue manufactured by a few Muslim girls with the backing of CFI and PFI. He had posted in support of uniform dress code in social media and the students wearing saffron shawl.

His family revealed that he had been receiving threat calls. In 2015, a Facebook page named Mangalore Muslims had issued a fatwa against Harsha alleging that he had insulted Mohammed. Thousands of people had joined his funeral procession as his mortal remains were taken from the Rotary cemetery from the McGann Hospital in Shivamogga. Some “miscreants” had attacked the procession by pelting stones and setting fire to vehicles.

Shockingly all this happened in front of policemen who were providing security to the procession. Police told the media that 20 vehicles were damaged in the attack and a few were burnt down. Three people were also injured in the attack. Now, details have emerged that Asifulla, Rihan Sharif, Kashif, Nihan who are believed to have murdered Harsha and Nadeem and Abdul Afnan the two other conspirators have been arrested by Karnataka police.
