Islamic intolerance: Maulana’s son files FIR after some Muslims practise Yoga at Bareilly’s Aala Hazrat dargah

“Uttar Pradesh:FIR against six by Maulana’s son for conducting Yoga at Bareilly’s Aala Hazarat Dargah”, Swarajyamag, July 6, 2023:

“The goodwill around the celebration of International Yoga Day (21 June) in Bareilly’s Aala Hazrat Dargah didn’t last more than two weeks as FIR has been registered against six people.

Dargah head Subhani Miya’s son Mustahasan Raza Khan registered an FIR against Jamat Raza Mustafa’s national president and five others for conducting Yoga exercises and soorya namaskar on Dargah premises.

The event sparked controversy soon after its conduct with ulemas across the country and the world questioning it. However, the matter cooled down…..”

  1. Practice of YOGA is good for health that has been acknowledged globally. A jihad against yoga is a foolhardy measure that deserves condemnation.
