Another case of love jihad has come to light in Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Indore. Muslim youth Zafar Sheikh reportedly introduced himself as Rahul Kumar and befriended a married Hindu woman, gradually getting into a physical relationship with her. Sheikh later married her after her husband passed away. However, Sheikh revealed his true identity and began forcing her to convert to Islam. The police are investigating the matter based on the complaint registered by the woman.

Zafar Sheikh becomes Rahul to trap Hindu woman

According to available information, the case is reported from Indore’s Pardesipura area. The Pardesipura police has registered a case against Zafar Sheikh alias Rahul, resident of Mathura Colony Azad Nagar, on the complaint of a 28-year-old Hindu woman living in the area. The woman has said in her complaint that the accused befriended the victim by posing as Rahul. After this, he allegedly raped her.

Later after the death of her husband, he married the victim and only after their marriage she came to know that he was not Rahul, but Zafar Sheikh. Subsequently, he started pressurizing her to convert to Islam. The victim said that, with the help of a well-wisher brother, she reported this to the police and registered a case in this matter.

Sheikh took advantage of the victim’s circumstances

The victim told the police that she was working at a private hospital in 2022. Here she was introduced to the field officer named Rahul. During work she used to have small conversations with him. Meanwhile, her married life was turning sour because of her alcoholic husband who used to beat her after consuming alcohol. Because of these troubles she along with her son and daughter, started living away from her husband with her mother.

Sheikh knew this personal issue of hers, took advantage of the situation and advanced his relationship with the woman. Meanwhile, for some reason, she left the job at the hospital. The woman said that Zafar came to meet her at her home on 26 June 2022. Her mother was not home that day. He reportedly confessed his love for her and had a forced sexual relationship with her. Based on these statements, the police have started investigating the matter in detail.
