West Bengal: Unknown miscreants vandalise Hanuman Murti in East Medinipur

Attacks on the Hindu temples continue in West Bengal. After the attacks on several Hindu temples in Howrah district, a fresh case of Murti vandalism has been reported from the East Medinipur district of West Bengal.

As per the sources, this morning, residents of the powerhouse locality saw the Hanuman temple vandalised. They saw that the face of the Bhagwan Hanuman had been damaged.

A resident said, “Unknown miscreants tried to break the face of the Hanuman Murti with a brick. It is evident from the damaged marks seen on the face.”

Later, local Hindus informed the Police. A police team from the Kolaghat Police Station reached the village and talked to the locals.

In the afternoon, local Hindus lodged a written complaint in the Kolaghat Police Station.

As of now, no one has been arrested.
