Theft in Radha Govinda temple of Sandeshkhali, ornaments stolen: West Bengal

Amid the investigation of CBI into the alleged sexual exploitation of women, a Hindu temple is targeted in Sandeshkhali. Valuable ornaments and money from the donation box were stolen.

Yesterday, on the night of 6 May, unidentified thieves broke into the Radha Govinda temple in Sarberia of Sandeshkhali by breaking its locks. According to local sources, a brass Murti and valuable ornaments of the Radha and Krishna Murti were stolen. A donation box was also broken, and all the money was taken away.

As the news of the theft spread, local Hindus gathered in front of the temple. They demanded that the accused be identified and arrested immediately. Later, the temple management committee filed a written complaint at the Nazat Police Station. As of now, no news of the arrest has come.
