In a shocking incident reported from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a Hindu girl was chased and attacked in the middle of the road by an Islamist man identified as Mohammad Shakib. The Islamist assaulted the 17-year-old minor Hindu girl after she refused to enter into a relationship with him. Shakib, who had initially posed as Sagar Kumar to befriend the victim, reportedly became enraged upon the discovery of his true identity by the girl. The incident occurred after the victim stopped communicating with Shakib, prompting him to confront her in public.
According to circulating social media videos, the Islamist perpetrator, accompanied by four associates, proceeded to assault the girl and issue death threats. Following the sharing of the video on social media platform X, Saharanpur Police acknowledged the incident and filed a police report. Additionally, the Saharanpur police posted that essential actions have been taken regarding the case.
Islamist befriended victim using false identity
As reported in OpIndia, the circulating video on social media depicts a young Hindu girl, a minor, recounting a harrowing experience involving a person she initially knew as “Sagar.” She reveals that their relationship began innocently, with them bonding emotionally over phone conversations. However, upon learning of his true religious background, she chose to sever ties. The Islamist portrayed himself with a fake identity as Sagar Kumar to manipulate the Hindu girl with his tactics.
According to her testimony, the Islamist individual, now identified as Shakib, didn’t take rejection well. He resorted to intimidation tactics, culminating in a violent intrusion into her home accompanied by four others. The group subjected her to physical and attempted sexual assault. Despite fleeing to a neighbor’s house for refuge, the assailants tracked her down, continuing their onslaught. The victim’s mother corroborated the incident, describing the chaos upon her return from work and their subsequent struggle for justice, initially met with reluctance from authorities.
As reported in Organiser, the victim’s mother verified the incident, detailing how the accused intruded into their home and harassed her daughter during her absence. Upon her return from work, she discovered her daughter was sitting at a neighbor’s house. It was there that she learned of the traumatic events her daughter had endured. Their home was left in disarray, and her daughter was clearly in distress. Despite initial resistance from the authorities, they persisted in seeking assistance from the police, eventually resulting in the filing of a formal complaint.
According to video reports, the accused would also threaten the girl, claiming he would harm her and her parents if his sexual desires were not met. A police complaint has been lodged in response, and further investigations are currently ongoing. The minor disclosed that Shakib possesses several of her pictures and videos, which he has been using to intimidate her. In another alarming instance, Sakib clandestinely recorded college girls exiting the campus without their knowledge or consent.
In response to the complaint, the Saharanpur Police filed charges against Shakib Mirza under IPC sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 354-D (stalking), 506 (criminal intimidation), and sections 7 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. Additionally, they invoked sections 3(1)(m) and 3(1)(0) of the Prevention of Atrocities Act, commonly referred to as the SC-ST Act. In an official press release issued on May 7, the Saharanpur Police announced the arrest of the Islamist individual who had been stalking and assaulting a minor.

Islamists, concealing their true identities, manipulate Hindu girls. Subsequently, after instances of physical assault and rape, they resort to blackmail for forced conversion.
