Sadhu rescues Hindu family nearly lynched by Islamists: UP

In Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad district, a Hindu youth, his mother, and sister were attacked by Shamim and Sadruddin along with two other unidentified associates. The incident occurred when the victim youth, Vikas Rajput, was visiting a fair with his family. Some Hindu sadhus present at the fair intervened to help. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter. The attack took place on Monday, February 12, 2024.

The incident unfolded in the Kadri Gate police station area of Farrukhabad district. Vikas Rajput filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. According to the complaint, Vikas and his family had gone to the Ramnagariya fair, where they encountered Shamim, Sadruddin, and their associates. An argument ensued, leading to the accused verbally abusing and physically assaulting Vikas and his family members.

The attackers fled the scene when bystanders started gathering. Vikas reported that he was threatened with death and burial in a cemetery. Police have registered an FIR under sections 323, 504, and 506 of the IPC, naming Sadruddin and Shamim as accused, with two others listed as unknown. According to Newsline Network, Legal action is underway, and two accused have been taken into custody.

Eyewitness Hindu sadhus have come forward with a video corroborating the incident. They witnessed the attackers beating the youth and women severely, even kicking them in the stomach. The sadhus intervened, preventing further harm and potentially saving their lives. They have called for strict action against the attackers.
