Navaratri Kalash Yatra attacked

Sunday (15 October) was the first day of the nine-day Navaratri festival celebrated in honour of Devi Adi Shakti. On this occasion, Hindus held a Kalash Yatra in Lakshmipur, located in UP’s Khushinagar District. The Yatra was pelted with stones by Islamists, leaving two Hindus injured.

One of the residents speaking to news channels alleged that they were asked not to play music, and the Hindus complied. However, when the boys started leaving, stones were pelted on them. He added that the injured are receiving treatment at the hospital. According to a female resident, stones were pelted, and the perpetrators fled the scene subsequently.

The police, however, denied the incident. “In the jurisdiction of Kubersthan Police Station’s Lakshmipur Village, there was a dispute between two groups. The dispute was solved after we received a complaint about the same. Four persons have been arrested. Further investigations are underway. News on social media stating that the Kalash Yatra was attacked is false. The Kalash Yatra was completed peacefully”, said police official Ritesh Kumar Singh in a video shared on the Khushinagar Police’s ‘X’ account.

Earlier, it came to light that devotees undertaking Ram Baraat in Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Harigadh (Aligarh) were attacked by Islamists, leaving around a dozen of them injured. A video of dozens of injured devotees who participated in the Ram Baraat was shared by the news channel. The video showed an injured and profusely bleeding Ram Bhakt being taken away in an ambulance for treatment. The channel highlighted that devotees had organized a Ram Baraat in Harigadh, which was attacked by ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ shouting Islamists. The Islamists also attacked devotees with swords and pelted stones on the Baraat. Hindu organizations protested against the attack and demanded that the culprits be arrested and brought to justice.

Hindu festivals attacked

As HinduPost has repeatedly reported, not a single Hindu festive procession across Bharat goes off without being attacked by Islamists. Islamists are encouraged by the support they get from the Hinduphobic Abrahamo-leftist-secular cabal. Sri Ram Navami Shobha Yatras were attacked across Bharat, as were processions undertaken to celebrate Hanuman Janmotsav. Hindu homes and shops were vandalized by Islamists in Kolkata’s Mominpore during last year’s Lakshmi Puja.

Last year, a Hindu bike rally that passed through a Muslim-dominated area in Rajasthan’s Karauli came under Islamist assault. Hindus were celebrating the Hindu New Year when stores were pelted at the bike rally. The attack took place when the bikers passed through the Hatwara Bazar, a Muslim-dominated area in the city.

Though the mayhem started with flinging stones at the Hindu bikers, it escalated soon as miscreants targeted over a dozen shops and set them afire. They also set fire to three bikes. Reportedly, properties worth lakhs have been destroyed in the attacks. As the situation deteriorated, the market was shut down, and an immediate curfew was called in in the city.

The attack on UP’s Ram Baarat and Kalash Yatra is one in a long series of attacks endured by Hindus celebrating their festivals through Shobha Yatras.
