Hindu auto driver assaulted for playing ‘Sri Ram’ song while passing in front of madrasa: Lucknow

In Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Lucknow, an auto driver named Manish was assaulted, and his auto was vandalized while he was playing a song of ‘Sri Ram’. The incident occurred near Mahona Sheikh Tola Madrasa, where auto driver Manish and his cousin Umesh were beaten up. The attackers belong to the Muslim community.

The incident took place on Friday (15 March), and the attackers have been identified as Shanu Sabhasad, Danish, Safiq, and Shamim Shaikh.

The attackers claim that they assaulted Manish because he was playing loud music and misbehaved when they protested. However, the victims maintain that they were targeted for playing the song of ‘Sri Ram’. Islamists have repeatedly attacked Hindus for celebrating Sri Ram Pran Pratishtha.
