Hindu organizations intervene to prevent married Muslim youth, father of 4, from marrying Hindu girl: Faridabad

On Saturday (21 October), Hindu organizations intervened to prevent a Muslim man who is a father of four children from marrying a 21-year-old Hindu girl at the request of the girl’s brother, thereby preventing another case of love jihad.

The couple had come to the Faridabad District Court premises to marry. After getting information about the matter, people of Hindu organizations reached the spot. However, the girl remained adamant that she would marry this young man despite her brother and others attempting to dissuade her. Reportedly, the man’s first wife also had no objection to the marriage and wanted a co-wife.

Seeing the situation worsening, the team of Police Station Central Incharge Inspector Ranveer reached the spot and brought everyone to the police station. Till late evening, all the parties kept presenting their views at the police station. The police sent the girl back with her family. The man was released after some time with certain conditions.

Police station central in-charge Inspector Ranveer said that a 21-year-old girl resident of Gandhi Colony was in a ‘love affair’ with her Muslim neighbour. The young man is already married and has four children. Apart from her, the girl has three sisters and a brother in her family. The girl’s brother informed Bittu Bajrangi, the national president of Goraksha Bajrang Force, and called him to the court.

Her brother and Bittu tried to convince the girl, but she remained adamant about getting married. The police brought everyone to the police station and sent the girl along with her brother. The Muslim man was made to give in writing that he would not communicate with the girl henceforth, cut off ties with her, and also not take the matter any further.
