Five Muslim men gang-rape a minor, mother of prime accused says “we will accept girl, she is like Draupadi”: Guwahati, Assam

Guwahati police are on the lookout for five Muslim men who gang-raped a minor girl, recorded the sexual assault on their mobile phones, uploaded the same on social media, and are now absconding. Police notified that Biki Ali, Faizur Ali, Puna Ali, Pinku Ali, and Raja Ali – all in their early twenties – are on the run from the authorities.

Shockingly, the mother (some reports describe her as just a relative) of prime accused Biki Ali has defended his deed while committing sacrilege against the sacred Hindu epic Mahabharata. She disgustingly compared the gang rape to Draupadi’s consensual marriage to the 5 Pandava brothers, and said that “we are ready to accept the girl (marry her to Biki Ali)”.

Such is the garbage drilled into minds of ordinary Muslims and the supremacist diet they are bred on by their clergy, that this woman doesn’t know that Draupadi was an epitome of strength, a woman who gave her consent to her marriage to the 5 Pandavas, participated in decision-making as an equal and played a key role in the Mahabharata.

Such medieval mindsets are also borne out of Muslim tribal ‘blood money‘ or Semitic ‘marry-your-rapist law‘ doctrines. The separate personal law regime for Muslims also allows for multiple marriages and the option to easily divorce ‘inconvenient wives’ through a simple and utterly misogynistic 3-month-long triple talaq process (note: only instant triple talaq is banned, not the standard triple talaq where talaq is pronounced at 3 separate times over a 3-month period).

Reports suggested that Biki Ali had groomed the teenager and that they were in an alleged relationship. On the 16th of February, the victim was on her way to tuition when Biki and an accomplice coerced the minor to his home. They raped her and recorded the act as well. Once done, they showed her the video and warned her that it would go online if she speaks up.

While the 16-year-old girl kept quiet due to this threat, it encouraged Biki Ali to commit the crime again. On 19th February, he blackmailed her again and the victim was forced to accompany him to a nearby hotel. Once there, Ali invited the other four accused and gang-raped the helpless girl. As usual, they recorded their misdeeds and this time uploaded them on social media.

Traumatized, the victim went home and remained silent for a few days. Unable to bear the humiliation, she finally informed her family about the inhuman crime. Her parents immediately approached the AWPS (All Women Police Station). Based on the victim’s complaint, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) was registered against all five, and the minor was sent for a medical examination.

All the accused are adults and are in their early twenties. Pan Bazar police in Guwahati have launched a manhunt to nab the five accused, who are on the run. The incident has not gone down well with the locals and there is unrest brewing in the locality.
