A DMK cadre named Sivakumar (50) has been arrested by TN police for sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl.
Sivakumar, a building mason residing in Chinnakarai near Palladam in Tirupur district, had reportedly taken the 3-year-old girl living in his neighbourhood into his house where he sexually abused her, reports The Commune.
The traumatized girl went home crying and told her parents about the incident, who then lodged a complaint at the Palladam Women’s Police Station. The accused DMK functionary was arrested by police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Posting about this incident on social media, AIADMK Spokesperson Kovai Sathyan questioned DMK leaders’ silence on this issue.
