Bhagwan Shiva murti desecrated and decapitated: Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal

“West Bengal : Murti of Bhagwan Shiva broken in Dakshin Dinajpur”, Hindu Voice, April 15, 2023:

“On midnight of 13th April, Murti of Bhagwan Shiva was broken at Laskarhat under Tapan Police station of Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Seeing broken Murti, local Hindus got angry and blocked road in protest. As of now, no one is arrested.

As per information received, local Hindus saw in the morning that Murti of Bhagwan Shiva broken. Head of Bhagwan Shiva was cut in Talibani style and was thrown outside. They got angry and blocked road in protest demanding immediate identification and arrest of the culprits.

Large Police force reached the spot and tried to pacify the angry locals. A local resident said, ‘For last few months, some unknown persons are targeting the temple. Whenever we put the light in temple, the lights were broke. We demand immediate arrest of the culprits….”
