“Aligarh Muslim University: FIR against students Atif, Khalid & others for raising pro-Palestine slogans; probe underway”, Organiser, October 10, 2023:

“Amidst the fervent cries of ‘Tera mera rishta kya.. la Illaha Illallah,’ students from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a procession expressing their dissent against Israel on, October 8. Their protest was in response to the government’s retaliatory measures taken against the Islamist terrorist organisation Hamas, working from the Gaza Strip.

These students carried out processions against the retaliatory action taken by the Israeli government against Hamas. These students, mostly Muslims were chanting Allah-u-Akbar and slogans like tera mera rishta kya la Illaha Illallah, and carrying placards with slogans against Israel and in support of Palestine. One such placard said, ‘AMU stands with Palestine, Free Palestine; this land is Palestine, not Israel’.

With chants of “Tera mera rishta kya.. la illaha Illallah..” & Allahu Akbar students of Aligarh Muslim University took out a protest march against Israel’s retaliatory action on Hamas…..”
