12-year-old boy sodomized inside a Malappuram mosque and other places: Kerala

Three pedophiles who engaged in unnatural sex with a 12-year-old boy have been arrested from Malappuram. Ummer Keezhatoor (a native of Perinthalmanna), Osama, and a tailor named Ummer were produced before a court in Tirur and remanded to judicial custody.

They approached the child’s parents and told them that they wanted the boy to sing songs that they would record and upload on a Youtube channel. The accused took the boy, gang-raped him and gave him a mobile phone and some money. The sodomy came out when the mother grew suspicious of the child’s behavior and took him to a doctor, who confirmed rape.

The minor rape victim’s parents approached Kuttipuram Police Inspector Shashindran Melayil and his team tracked down the rapists and charged them with sections related to the POCSO act. The accused raped the boy underneath the Kuttipuram Bharathapuzha bridge, in the middle of a rubber plantation, in Ummer’s tailoring shop, and even inside a mosque near Perintalmanna.

Such atrocities against children are on the rise in Kerala.
