Historic Sita-Ram Temple converted into a chicken shop: Pakistan

The iconic Sita-Ram temple, with a rich history spanning over a century, holds profound historical and cultural significance as a revered place of worship for Hindus in Pakistan’s Ahmadpur Sial, as reported by News Intervention.

Recent events have sparked widespread online criticism from netizens, shedding light on a disturbing incident. Social media user Narain Das Bheel, expressing dismay, stated, “Sita-Ram mandir converted to Chicken shop, Ahmadpur Sial is a city in Hang District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The city is the headquarters of Ahmadpur Sial Tehsil.”

This alarming incident serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by Hindu minorities in Pakistan, where not only their lives but also their places of worship are coming under attack repeatedly. In a troubling development in November, Pakistani authorities demolished a revered Hindu temple in Sindh province.

Reports indicate that the demolition of Hinglaj Mata Mandir was carried out by authorities who cited a court order as the rationale behind this action. These events highlight a broader issue, drawing attention to the plight of Hindu minorities in Pakistan and the concerning trend of targeting their places of worship.
