Following her conversion, Shahnaz married 25-year-old Waqar, son of Hashim Bhambhro, from Jhuddo Sindh.

In an interview with journalists, Shahnaz revealed that her relatives, including her brothers Dealo, Dhero, Chito, and Vero, have been threatening her life due to her conversion and new marriage. She expressed her fear for her safety and requested protection from the authorities.
