Murtis smashed by miscreants in Curepe Temple: Trinidad

Vandals destroyed several murtis in a mandir in Trinidad’s Curepe. The Bharatiya Vidya Abhyas Mandali temple is located on Curepe’s Watts Street. Among the vigrahas that were destroyed were six vigrahas of four feet each. Devotees and Temple authorities discovered rubble strewn everywhere and several jhandis being toppled.

“Twenty-five murtis were destroyed. Although nothing was stolen, this incident has caused great distress to us and left us devasted,” said Temple President Sita Kalloo. Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha condemned the incident. St Joseph CID is investigating the matter.
