Attacks on the Hindu temples continue in the Muslim-majority Bangladesh. A fresh incident has come from Tangail district of Bangladesh.
As per the received information, on the night of the 1st of August, 2025, Islamists targeted a Kali Mata temple in Bhabna Para village under Nagorpur Upazila of the Tangail district. Islamists broke the Murti and fled.
Local Hindus said that they heard the sound of the vandalism. When they reached, the Islamists threatened them to attack with sharp weapons and fled. They saw that the Murti has been broken and thrown on the ground. The Islamists also broke a donation box of the temple and took away all the money.
As per the locals, the temple is built with bamboo and woods. No strong doors were there in the temple. So, the Islamists easily broken the wooden doors of the temple and vandalised the Murti.
After receiving information from the local Hindus, a team of the Police reached the spot and talked with the locals. As of now, no one has been identified or arrested.
