HSC to conduct Hindu Youth Leadership Summit from September 15 to 17 in USA

The Hindu Students Council (HSC) is organizing a Hindu Youth Leadership Summit for Hindu youth aged 15 to 35 in New Jersey from September 15 to 17 (Registration link). A Community Luncheon is scheduled for Sunday (September 17) from 12 to 2 PM.

The two-day Hindu Youth Leadership Summit (HYLS) 2023 will provide an opportunity for student leaders from across North America to come together to learn about Hindu heritage and culture, leadership skills, meet link-minded individuals, learn how to lead a student organization, play team building games, engage in stimulating discussions, and enjoy yoga and meditation sessions among other interesting activities.

“The goal of this summit is to bring together HSC chapter leaders from across North America & the Caribbean to promote unity, foster collaboration, provide hands-on leadership training, discuss brand new chapter initiatives, and strategize on how to best lead and grow an HSC chapter. Along with meeting other chapter executives from around the continent, there will also be plenty of opportunities for team bonding, fun, and games during the summit”, is the stated aim of the Summit.

HYLS is open to any youth who is interested in learning about Hindu culture and developing leadership skills. However, the number of seats is limited to 25. The hotel is ten minutes away from Newark Airport and is also accessible from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) which are located at a distance as compared to Newark. If you’re travelling by train, the closest station on the NJ Transit is Newark Penn Station.

Lodging would be provided from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. It must be noted that registration fees do not cover travel expenses. Participants must make their travel arrangements. HSC would provide letters to students who wish to seek reimbursement for the registration fee and travel expenses from their university student body. If students need financial assistance, have questions regarding payment or require any assistance they can reach out to HSC at [email protected].

Founded in 1990, HSC is North America’s largest pan-Hindu youth organization. HSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit providing a safe space for Hindus on campuses all over and is a platform for young Hindu leaders to learn, grow and engage in advocacy, empowerment, and seva. Over 200,000 students of various backgrounds have attended HSC’s programs since its founding.
