“Eight members of a minority family were injured, one critically, following an alleged attack linked to a long-running land dispute in Monirampur Upazila of Jashore district, local residents and police said.

The incident occurred on the morning of May 30 in Parkhajura Malopara village under Mashimnagar Union, where attackers reportedly armed with sticks and other locally made weapons assaulted members of the family.

According to residents, tensions between the victim’s family and neighboring individuals had persisted for an extended period over ownership and possession of a parcel of land. The dispute allegedly escalated into violence during Saturday’s confrontation…….”
