Doesn’t the opposition to CAA support the conspiracy of ‘Greater Bangladesh’?

The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is the name of an act that many political party leaders are fired up about these days. They are always active in spreading misinformation about the CAA among common people. In this case, they have always used minority brothers and sisters as weapons. In most cases, minority sentiments are created by misrepresenting them using their ignorance about the CAA, but the main objective is to gain political advantage. They say that if the CAA is implemented in Bharat, then Muslims will be expelled from this country. But is it really so?

According to sources from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the CAA will not have any impact on Indian citizens, including Muslims. So what is the need for CAA and for whom is the Indian government seeking to implement this amendment? The answer has been clearly stated by the Ministry of Home Affairs. It clearly states that the Citizenship Amendment Act is for Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi, and Christian refugees expelled from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan on religious grounds after December 31, 2014. The law will not apply to any other foreign refugee, including Muslims, from those three countries or any other country. The fact is that the CAA has nothing to do with Indian citizens, Muslim or otherwise. In general, is it possible to understand how a proposed law to grant citizenship to foreign refugees already living in India would affect Indian Muslims?

So, what is the intention of the leaders of some political parties in India who have opposed the CAA by putting Muslim sentiments in front of them? Are they keeping the interests of Indian Muslims in front, and trying to protect the interests of the infiltrating Muslims by dressing up as Islam Dardi Dal? In this case, they are inciting another thing that since India is a secular state, India should apply this law to Muslims like Hindus, Sikhs, Jains. But India, which is surrounded by three Islamic countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh – and who chose Pakistan as their own state even at the time of partition, the deliberate living of non-Indian Muslims in India where they are not oppressed or oppressed is nothing but illegal infiltration.

In this context, it is necessary to look at the definition of a refugee given in the United Nations Convention in 1951. It is said there, “a person who is outside his or her country of nationality or habitual residence; has a well-founded fear of being persecuted because of his or her race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion; and is unable or unwilling to avail himself or herself of the protection of that country, or to return there, for fear of persecution.” So why this fake sentiment towards them? India is not sitting on the responsibility of taking responsibility for the citizens of other countries.

Now let’s see why Bharat is open their door to other religions. Statistics show that the number of non-Muslims in the above countries is steadily decreasing. According to a New York Times report, at the time of independence, i.e., in 1947, the population of Hindus in Pakistan was 20.5%, in 2020 it has come to 1.5%. If we look at the case of Bangladesh, we will see that in 1951 the population of Hindus was about 23 percent, in 2022 it was reduced to 8 percent. In this perspective, as per the 1951 census, where the Muslim population in India was 9.8%, as per the 2011 census, it has increased to about 15%.

The statistics mentioned above show the exact conditions in which non-muslims live in Islamic countries. So, Bharat is ready to give shelter to those helpless people. In response to welcome at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11 September 1893, Swami Vivekananda said, “I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true.” Hindu-dominant Bharat has never hesitated to retain its ancient tradition. They didn’t fight with each other. But when it comes to national security, Bharat has not kept quiet; they put its national interests first, not some whimsical sentiment to please a particular community.

It goes without saying that the opposition to the CAA is actually a way of supporting the intruders. The history of infiltration goes back a long time. Mainly, large numbers of non-Indian Muslims have easily infiltrated West Bengal from Bangladesh for a long time due to the excessive bids of secularists. On October 11, 1992, the then Chief Minister of the state, Jyoti Basu, wrote in the left party mouthpiece Gana Shakti, “Muslims started coming to India from 1971. From 1977 to 1992, the BSF identified and expelled 2,35,529 Bangladeshis. Of these, 68,472 were Hindus and 1,64,132 were Muslims.” (Translated from the actual Bengali article) This figure clearly shows that at that time the number of illegal infiltrators was almost 3 times more than the number of refugees seeking asylum in India.

Once the whole of Bharat had been ruled by non-Bharatiya Muslims. About the persecution of non-Indian Muslims in Bharat by the 8th century, the renowned Bengali essayist Saratchandra Chattopadhyay wrote, “One day Muslims entered India to loot, not to establish a kingdom. That day they did not stop with just looting; they destroyed temples, idols, crushed women’s chastity, and in fact, hurt and insulted others’ religion and humanity as much as possible, without any qualms anywhere.” (Translated from the actual Bengali Essay) Just like today, those who oppose the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are trying to hand over Motherland Bharat to non-bharatiya muslims again. Therefore, it would be wrong to see the opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act as a political program only; it would not be too wrong to say that the conspiracy to create a ‘Greater Bangladesh’ is being implemented behind it. Its proof is that according to the 1951 census, where the Muslim population of the state was 19 percent, it has increased to 31 percent according to the 2011 census.

Finally, let me reiterate that the Citizenship Amendment Act was in no way introduced to take away the citizenship of Indian Muslims. Rather, this law is meant to prevent foreign Muslims from infiltrating. So, to protect the sovereignty of the country and to save the countrymen from foreign invaders, without getting confused with the CAA, the Muslim brothers and sisters of Bharat should support the implementation of CAA in the interest of the country.
