Bangladesh: Radical students forced Hindu teacher to resign in Jessore

After Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, Bangladesh has been witnessing havoc by Islamic radical elements. Attacks on the Hindu minorities have been happening daily. Vandalism, loot, rape and gang-rape of Hindu women have become common. However, the head of the Interim Government, Muhammad Yunus, has assured to secure the Hindu minorities. But, it was lip service, as it seems.

Now, Islamists are targeting Hindu teachers and professors of different schools, colleges and universities. Islamists, along with the radical students, are forcing Hindu teachers and professors to resign.

In the last few days, many such incidents have surfaced in different districts of Bangladesh. A fresh case has been reported from the Jessore district of Bangladesh.

On the 18th of August, students with radical mindsets gheraoed a Hindu teacher, Khuku Rani Biswas. Khuku Rani Biswas was in charge of Jessore Nursing Institute. They kept her gheraoed in her office for five hours. They demanded her resignation.

Radical students alleged that she committed corruption. So, they were demanding her resignation. But, they forced her to resign without any investigation or proof.

Earlier, many Hindu teachers and professors of prominent universities in Bangladesh were forced to resign.
