Bangladesh: Islamic radical mob attacks Vishwakarma Puja Mandap in Habiganj, Murti vandalised

Another case of attack and Murti(idol) vandalism has been reported from the Habiganj district of Bangladesh. Islamic radical mob attacked Vishwakarma Puja Mandap. They also vandalised the Murti of Baba Vishwakarma. The incident happened at Rameswar village of Chhatiain union under Madhavpur Police Station of Habiganj district.

As per the received information, Hindu minorities of that village have organised the Vishwakarma Puja. On the night of the 19th of September, around 11 PM, an Islamic radical mob armed with sticks, swords and other sharp weapons suddenly attacked the Puja Mandap. They beat up everyone, especially women. They also beat up Hindu youths who tried to prevent them. Islamic radical mob also broke the Murti of Baba Vishwakarma and threw it outside. 

Notably, the Video of that Islamic attack is already viral on different social media platforms. It has been seen that Islamic radical mobs are vandalising the Murti and beating the Hindu minorities. At least ten people were injured in the attack. 

Per the latest reports, a complaint has been filed in the Madhavpur Police Station. A Police team visited the spot. Also, a Police team is deployed in the village to avoid further violence. Till now, no one has been arrested.
