On the 5th of November, Tuesday night, unknown miscreants set ablaze the homes of the family members. The fire was so intense that they couldn’t save anything from their homes except their lives. Every single belongings, including clothes, has turned into ashes. However, neighbours tried to extinguish the fire, but they failed.

A family member said, “We have lived in the land for generations. My grandfather bought the land from a person in the village. But Islamists want to grab this land. That is why they are trying to evict us. We want justice.”

Officer in Charge of Sonatala Police Station Saikat Hasan said, “After receiving the news of the incident, I sent a police team. They inspected the area. We will start an investigation after receiving a formal complaint.”
