Updates on RSS leaders murdered in Palakkad

Two Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorists accused of the murder of Palakkad RSS Thenari Mandal Boudhik Pramukh A Sanjith (27) surrendered in court. The 16th and 17th defendants, Savad (46) of Palakkad Watanamkurissi Cherikallmelel and Isa Moideen (27) of Malappuram Chembrakattur Cherukaraparamba surrendered in the Palakkad Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Thursday morning.

While both were absconding, Savad and Moideen had approached the High Court for anticipatory bail. As only the section for the crime of aiding and abetting the accused was included, the High Court directed them to appear in court and file a bail application. This is why they surrendered.

They were remanded to police custody for two days. With this, 21 of the 24 accused in the case were arrested. Three people, including the mosque imam and the main accused, Naufal, who are on lookout notice, are yet to be detained.

HinduPost reported in November 2012 how Sanjith was stabbed to death in front of his wife in Kerala’s Palakkad district. Sanjith was waylaid when he was traveling with his wife by PFI terrorists. Police later confirmed that the RSS leader received more than 50 stab wounds.

Sanjith’s family conducted a housewarming ceremony on Friday. The house was named after Sanjith’s son Rudrakesh. The construction of the 1800-square-foot house was completed with the efforts of the RSS workers.

A new house was built by demolishing Sanjith’s tiny house in Chittoor Menonpara Edupukulam. Sanjith’s mother, Sunitha, and his wife, Arshika, received the keys from RSS Pranta Karyawah P.N. Easwaran. He lit a lamp in front of Sanjith’s portrait and offered flowers.

A commemoration meeting was held after the housewarming ceremony. District RSS Karyawah P.N. Eswaran, Pranta Sahabaudhik Shikshan Pramukh P.P. Suresh Babu, Section Assistant K. Sudhir, Section Sanghachalak V.K. Somasundaram, District Sanghchalak M. Aravindakshan, and others spoke on the occasion.

On 15 November 2021, Sanjith, riding a motorcycle with his wife, was hacked to death near Mambaram. The murder was carried out by five PFI terrorists who arrived at the crime scene in a car.

NIA Arrests PFI Terrorist from Malappuram for RSS Leader Sreenivasan’s Murder

Sreenivas Krishna

Another PFI terrorist was arrested for the murder of former RSS Shikshan Pramukh Sreenivas Krishna. The NIA arrested Shihab alias Babu, a native of Malappuram. He was absconding. Shihab was arrested late yesterday.

The NIA had received intelligence that the absconding man had reached his house in Malappuram. Based on this, the NIA reached the house and arrested him. The NIA team also searched his house. It is reported that crucial documents have been found. Shihab gave shelter to the accused, Muhammad Hakeem, who destroyed the evidence related to the case.

Sreenivas was hacked to death on 16 April 2022. He was standing in his shop when a group of PFI terrorists arrived in several vehicles and hacked him to death. Initially, the police were investigating the case. But considering the terrorist link in the incident, the investigation was handed over to the NIA.

Last March, the NIA filed a charge sheet against 59 people. Following this, the accused, Shaheer, was arrested by the NIA in May. The NIA found that 69 people were involved in the conspiracy.

Earlier, Jishad Badruddin, a Kerala Fire and Rescue Services personnel, was arrested for his role in the killing. Saddam Hussain, the Imam of Sankuvaramedu mosque in Palakkad town, was detained for harboring a PFI terrorist involved in the murder. An accused in the Sanjith murder case was also arrested from the same mosque. The radical Islamist outfit PFI manages the mosque.
