It is noteworthy that Shivamogga had witnessed severe violence during the hijab protests flamed by radical Islamist outfit PFI. One young Hindu activist Harsha had been brutally murdered there on Feb 20 by Muslim radicals over a social media post in favor of uniform dress code in schools. It later emerged that Harsha had been on the Isamist radar for many years using the time-tested tactic of false blasphemy allegation.
