Neelavara Goshala, Udupi, Launches 2018 Calendar to Raise Awareness & Funds

Govardhanagiri Trust is a unit of Sri Pejawara Adhokshajha Matha, Udupi, Dakshina Karnataka, headed by Sri Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji. Poojyashree Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji is the Working President of the same.

The trust manages a huge GOSHALA (cow shelter) in which 1200 cows saved from slaughter houses are protected with care and devotion. It is located in Neelavara, 18 kms from Udupi.

Needless to say, the Goshala requires continuous funds to manage and expand its operations. In addition to the 1200 cows already being served, the Goshala continues to get new cattle from nearby areas. Many of these cattle are aged and hence the owners do not find them productive or useful. The Goshala has a policy of not turning away any Go mata.

In line with various initiatives undertaken by Sri Sri Swamijis and the Trust to raise funds, this year the Goshala has come out with a wall calendar for 2018, as a new method for raising awareness about the Goshala and also to raise funds. Several beautiful pictures of Udupi Sri Krishna and the Goshala have been put together to create a pleasing calendar.

This calendar was launched on the 20th of December 2017 at Udupi by Sri Pejawara Swamiji Sr and Sri Pejawara Swamiji Jr.

On the 21st of December 2017, the calendar was launched at Poorna Prajna Vidyapeeta, Bengaluru by Sri Keshava Achar, the head of the Vidyapeeta along with Sri Satyanarayana Achar, the Principal.

Each calendar costs Rs 40/- only and the entire collection from this initiative will go towards the expenses of the Neelavara Goshala. The calendars are available at Krishna Matha – Udupi, Poorna Prajna Vidyapeeta – Bengaluru and at the Goshala at Neelavara. Those who wish to place bulk orders can write to [email protected] and arrangements to send the same will be made.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the cause of the Goshala. We request one and all to participate in this initiative. You could obtain a few copies of the calendar and gift the same to your relatives and friends. A calendar with very nice pictures of Udupi Krishna will adorn their wall while at the same time the Goshala will receive some financial support.

In addition to this, the Goshala also welcomes financial contribution directly. Those who wish to do so can do so by online transfer using the following details.
