Why Bharat needs to be wary of US ‘cooperation’

The US sees cooperation with India as an unfortunate necessity to

a) import deflation and reduce interest rates in the long run,

b) counter Chinese dominance and

c) preserve its own hegemony.

On the flip side, the US will attempt to control India’s rise by

a) shaping domestic opinions using technology

b) cultivating transnational allegiances through conversions, and

c) backing secessionist groups of all hues in academia, media and on the streets.

China implemented the one-child policy in part, for getting technology and investments. Fast forward forty years and the policy will now materially limit the country’s economic and social prospects. On aggregate, large-scale, country-redefining US investment is a Trojan horse. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

The West has never seen India as a viable, cohesive entity in the long run. The diversity India celebrates is seen as its reason to fail. The path to this end state involves two decades of “cooperation” against the backdrop of subversion legitimized in the name of “democracy.”

Under the long shadow cast by ties that may grow to be higher than the Himalayas, MSM criticism of the US will likely be muted. The coverage of the Ukraine war was a tell tale sign. It’s a Faustian bargain but one Indians will take in return for FDI, technology and visas.
