West Bengal: “Will be driven out from the area if you join BJP’S rally”, posters found in Hooghly threatening BJP workers

Before the grand rally of Central Home Minister Amit Shah in Kolkata, the political tension was rising in West Bengal. Now, unknown miscreants put up posters threatening BJP workers not to join the rally.

The posters reportedly were found in Chunchura’s Keota Battala locality. The posters were put on BJP’s posters, which were placed before. In the posters, it has been written, “Centre is not giving the money of Awas Project(PMAY). Those will be driven out from the area who will attend the rally. Jay Bangla”.

After the posters came to light, political tensions were seen in the area. The TMC and the opposition party, BJP, have blamed each other. Denying any involvement of its party members, local TMC MLA Asit Majumdar said, “BJP itself has done this and is blaming TMC. BJP has done this to get media attention.”

On the other hand, local BJP leaders have blamed TMC for terrorising its party workers, putting up posters so that they can’t join the rally.

Notably, the slogan ‘Jay Bangla’ is officially used by TMC in rallies and programs.
