Alleged murders of BJP workers and leaders continue in TMC ruled West Bengal. A new case has been reported from Bankura district.
On the 8th of November, Wednesday, the body of a BJP leader was found hanging from a tree. The incident took place at Nidhirampur village under the jurisdiction of Gangajalghati Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Subhadeep Mishra(26). He was a popular face of the BJP in the area. He also contested this year’s Panchayat elections.
As per the reports, in the morning of Wednesday, his body was found hanging from a tree. His hands were tied. The body was hanging from a high branch of the tree.
Hearing the news, BJP MLA from Saltora, Chandana Bauri rushed to the village. She said that Subhadeep was an active worker of the BJP and was a well known face in the area. Earlier, TMC backed goons threatened to kill him, so he left the area for a few months. Recently he returned to the village, she added.
On the mysterious death of party leader, Suvendu Adhikari expressed his grudge on social media. He wrote, ” He has been murdered.”

He also made serious allegations against Bankura Police. Taking to X, he wrote, “The role of Superintendent of Police; Bankura District Police, in this incident must be investigated thoroughly….District Police units are nothing but TMC cadres in uniform. Their only job is to ensure the TMC Party’s existence continues as long as possible.” He also demanded a CBI investigation in this matter.
It is worth mentioning, murders of BJP workers have become very common in West Bengal. In past years, several BJP workers had been allegedly murdered in different districts; such as Bankura, Purulia, Coochbehar, North 23 Parganas.
