‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans raised during Congress candidate Jarkiholi’s victory celebrations, 10 instances when such slogans were raised in Bharat

Congress’ love for Pakistan again came to the fore during the victory celebrations of Priyanka Jarkiholi, Congress Lok Sabha candidate in Chikkodi taluk of Karnataka’s Belagavi district. The Congress party is well-known for working hand-in-glove with Islamists and other anti-Bharatiya forces. The incident occurred on Tuesday (4 June 2024). During the victory celebration procession, when Congress party workers were passing in front of R.D. college, police arrested a Congress party worker named Zameer Naikwadi (25), who shouted “Pakistan ki Jai” (Pakistan Zindabad).

Here are 10 other such instances when pro-Pakistan slogans were raised in Bharat

  1. On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, a video went viral on social media that showed a man raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans and small children repeating the pro-Pakistani slogan after him. According to reports, this video is from the Dhakwa village of Mubarakpur in Azamgarh. Notably, the Mubarakpur assembly constituency is a Muslim-dominated area. SP MLA Akhilesh Yadav was campaigning for party candidate Dharmendra Yadav for the Lok Sabha election in the constituency. In the video, several locals and SP leaders were seen following Yadav. Several children are also seen amongst the crowd.
  2. In Bengaluru, on 27 February 2024, police initiated a suo motu First Information Report (FIR) against an unidentified individual for shouting Pakistan Zindabad” within the corridors of Vidhana Soudha. The decision to file the FIR stemmed from reports circulating on electronic media platforms. Subsequently, BJP MLC N Ravikumar and opposition chief whip MLA Doddanagowda Patil complained to Vidhana Soudha police, alleging that Congress MP Syed Nasir Hussain’s supporters were responsible for the incendiary chant. This accusation came after Hussain’s victory in the Rajya Sabha polls, where he was declared the winner.
  3. In a shocking event, a girl belonging to the Muslim community created a ruckus in the ongoing Durga puja event in UP’s Basti region by raising communally sensitive and anti-Bharat slogans. On 23 October 2023, the girl barged into the event, threw black cloth on the murti of Maa Durga, and raised slogans praising Islam and Pakistan. The girl got on the stage and snatched the mic from the person who was singing praises of Maa Durga and yelled, “Islam Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.” The police booked the girl for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
  4. On 31 July 2023, an Islamic mob in Nuh of Haryana’s Mewat attacked thousands of Hindu devotees attending the Jalabhishek Yatra on Shravan Somvar. OpIndia accessed several FIRs registered in the case. As per the FIR registered on the complaint of Assistant Sub Inspector Dharmendra, the complainant mentioned that the rioters raised slogans of Allah-Hu-Akbar and Pakistan Zindabad while attacking the devotees at the temple.
  5. On 29 July 2023, Muslims belonging to the Shia and the Sunni communities clashed with each other during a Tazia procession on the occasion of Muharram in UP’s Varanasi. According to reports, both sides indulged in sloganeering while they hurled stones at each other. Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar reported that the Islamists allegedly raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans while clashing with each other.
  6. On 17 May 2023, a group of people from the Muslim community pelted stones at a Hindu wedding procession in the Chikhli religion of Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, objecting to a song played on the DJ system during the procession. The massive stone pelting began as the people from the Muslim community heard songs of Sri Ram being played on the DJ system. They also are said to have raised the slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ before pelting stones at the procession.
  7. In May 2021, in UP’s Amethi, a newly elected Gram Pradhan and his supporters were arrested after pro-Pakistan songs were played during his bike rally, which was part of his victory procession. Accused Imran Khan was elected from Mangra village in Amethi’s Ramganj area. The song lyrics were ‘Dekho Imran Khan aaya, naya Pakistan laaya’ (Imran Khan has come. He brought new Pakistan with him). A video of the song being played subsequently went viral on the internet. An FIR was registered on 6 May 2021.
  8. On 14 April 2021, a few anti-nationals riding a tractor were seen shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ at Chandsina village near Ratanpuri in UP’s Muzaffarnagar district. Tension prevailed in the area, and the police sprung into action and arrested a couple of miscreants. Shadab, s/o Sharafat, and Firoz, s/o Alisher, were arrested.
  9. In October 2018, the Durga Puja immersion event in UP’s Bahraich became a target of Islamists who raised the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ after a heated communal spat, as reported in the Hindi portal OneIndia. On 20 October, during the immersion of murtis, arguments heated up between the two communities in Bahraich’s Khaira Bazaar area. There were reports of stone pelting and damage of other public properties in the area. Soon, the Islamists started raising the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in the market.
  10. In August 2018, a 1000-strong mob of Islamists chanting pro-Pakistan slogans attacked a police contingent and tried to desecrate a temple in Jharkhand’s Pakur district on the day of Bakrid, news portal MyNation reported. Hundreds of miscreants from the side of Muraroi in Bengal joined in and besieged the SDPO (sub-divisional police officer) office, showing Pakistani flags and shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.

It is a matter of serious concern for Hindu society that there exists such radical population within Bharat which openly espouses support towards the neighbouring Islamo-fascist terrorist state of Pakistan. Serious action needs to be taken against such anti-Bharatiya elements for the sake of national security, peace and harmony in the nation.
