Imran Khan, the newly elected village Pradhan (head) of Mangra village in the Ramganj area of Amethi, UP has been arrested for claiming to make a ‘Naya Pakistan’ (New Pakistan) in the village. Pakistan PM Imran Khan had also swept to victory in the last elections in his country promising a ‘Naya Pakistan’.
Despite clear instructions by the Election Commission against victory processions keeping the pandemic in mind, Khan and around 50 of his associates took out a victory rally. A vehicle fitted with loudspeakers was blaring a song hailing both Pakistan and Imran Khan.
The sinister anti-national intent of those involved in the parade became evident when songs like ‘Dekho Imran Khan aaya, naya Pakistan laaya’ (Look Imran Khan has come, he has brought a new Pakistan with him) were recorded and then uploaded on social media. Police also recovered more video footage from CCTV cameras installed along the route they took.
No social distancing was being observed and guys on bikes were seen snuck up nicely against each other. Multiple bikes with three riders each are seen and no one seemed bothered about masks. There were also a few four-wheelers involved.

Other than Imran, his aides Zabir Rehman, Maqsud, Ishtikhar, Aleem, and Shahrukh Khan were also arrested. Cases were also registered against 50 unknown individuals and the cops are investigating. They have been charged with sections under IPC dealing with sovereignty and integrity of Bharat, negligence that may lead to spreading the coronavirus, and for illegal payments during elections.
The anti-national activities of the group did not go down well with the local villagers who immediately intimated the police. Police swung into action arresting Imran and his cronies and seizing three bikes for violating social distancing norms. Amethi District Magistrate Arun Kumar had ordered an inquiry into the incident.
A similar incident occurred at Balauta village in Sitapur district where the newly elected village chief Aslam and his associates were seen hailing Pakistan by shouting slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. Police arrested Aslam and five others and have booked the accused under sections for disobeying public servants, negligence likely to spread diseases, and for malicious acts aimed at outraging religious feelings. Police are also on the lookout for others accused of raising such offensive slogans.
In Barvaghar village, Sonbhadra district, newly elected pradhan Rukhmuddeen and his supporters were arrested for slaughtering a cow while arranging a feast for locals to celebrate his win.
This is not the first time that pro-Pakistan sloganeering has been heard; several such incidents have been recorded across Bharat. While earlier, such cases were observed more in Western UP, these 3 recent cases are from Central and Eastern UP. Such incidents show how Islamic separatism is thriving in several pockets of our country while the mainstream establishment is drunk on the kool-aid of secularism.
This is also a reminder of things to come wherever BJP loses in UP. The Yogi government cracked down on these criminals immediately and the hope is that leaders like Amethi MP Smriti Irani will take notice and see to it that such anti-Bharat village chiefs are punished accordingly.
