“Is Ram Below Poverty Line that BJP is giving a house to him?, said TMC MP Satabdi Roy

After TMC MLA Sayani Ghosh, now TMC MP Satabdi Roy made derogatory statements about Prabhu Sri Ram.

While addressing a gathering, Satabdi Roy questioned the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. She said, “Is Ram BPL(below poverty line) that BJP is giving house to him? I hear they say they are making home for Ram.” She continued, “They(BJP) should give house to his son Luv and Kush under the same BPL quota.”

The video is viral on social media platforms. While Satabdi Roy was addressing, audiences cheered and laughed at her speech.

As the video went viral, the BJP hit out at her. West Bengal BJP’s President Sukanta Majumdar wrote in his X handle, “Satabdi Roy’s statement on Prabhu Shri Ram itself proves Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government’s mindset about Hindu faith and deep-rooted beliefs. This is disgraceful and insulting for every Hindu of the world…”.

However, making derogatory remarks against the Hindu gods and beliefs are not new for TMC leaders. Earlier, TMC MLA Sayani Ghosh made derogatory statements on Bhagwan Mahadev. Recently, singer Nachiketa Ghosh, with close links to TMC, made highly derogatory remarks against Prabhu Sri Ram and expressed his doubt about the birthplace of Prabhu Sri Ram. But TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee never used a single word to condemn these Hinduphobic comments.
