After their ‘Bhagwa terror’ plot failed, Congress has come up with a new ploy to defame Hindus. ‘Sanatani terrorism’ is the new term coined by Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan to defame Hindu Samaj.
Chavan terms it ‘Sanatani terror’
After a special NIA court acquitted all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case, former Maharashtra CM and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan sparked controversy with his remarks. He rejected the use of the term ‘saffron terror,’ arguing that saffron holds deep cultural and spiritual significance in Maharashtra, representing figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and saints such as Sant Tukaram and Sant Dnyaneshwar. Instead, he suggested using terms like ‘Hindu terrorism’ or ‘Sanatani terrorism.’ Although Chavan clarified that he did not believe terrorism had any religion, his choice of words triggered strong political backlash.
The BJP condemned Chavan’s remarks, with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stating that terrorism was never saffron and would never be. He accused the Congress of creating a false narrative of ‘Hindu terror’ to defame Hindus and appease minority communities. BJP leaders demanded that the Congress apologize to the Hindu community.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh denied that the party ever coined the term ‘Hindu terror,’ asserting that no religion supports violence. Singh’s denial comes after Congress’ failed plot to draw false equivalences with Islamic terrorism. The ‘terrorism has no religion’ is also part of the appeasement politics where the urge to be politically correct for fear of offending their votebank takes precedence over national security.
How Congress created the myth of Saffron terror
Congress tried its best to create the ‘saffron terror’ myth. It had raised the red herring of ‘saffron terror’ for their votebank politics discrediting the entire community. It was not just a blatant lie but also an attempt to malign Hindus to hide the inefficiencies of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
The ‘saffron terror’ red herring was Congress’ way of whitewashing Islamic terrorism just like Sharad Pawar did by inventing an extra bomb blast to give the terrorists a clean chit, although he claimed he did so to ensure ‘peace’ and water down the anger of Hindus. One cannot forget how the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government attempted to present the 26/11 terror attack as ‘RSS ki Saazish‘ (an RSS conspiracy). Unfortunately for UPA, Kasab was caught alive, and their plans fell apart.
‘Saffron terrorism’ bogey was created not just to give Islamic terrorism a free run but also to gaslight Hindus. Sadhvi Pragya and Col Purohit were subject to the most inhuman torture just because Congress had a political point to score. Not just Sadhvi Pragya and Colonel Purohit but there was a failed attempt to frame other leaders of the Sangh Parivar (RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, and BJP). Former Home Secretary RVS Mani in his book The Myth of Hindu Terror: Insider Account of Ministry of Home Affairs has detailed how Congress created the myth of ‘Saffron terror’ or ‘Hindu terror’ for its political agenda and to shield its terrorist masters in Pakistan.
Who is a Sanatani?
Sanatani is just another term for a Hindu and is derived from Sanatan Dharma which is another term for the eternal and universal principles of Hindu Dharma. A Sanatani is one who believes in Hindu values such as compassion, self-discipline, and spiritual growth among other things. Sanatanis follow Vedic teachings, have deep faith in the Hindu laws of Karma and rebirth, and their ultimate goal is Moksha.
In the material world, they respect divinity in all its forms (as mentioned in the Puranas & other Hindu Granthas), and observe observe rituals, festivals, and practices that have been passed down for generations. Unlike rigid religious dogmas, Sanatan Dharma emphasizes personal spiritual experience, inner purification, and harmony with nature and society. Therefore, being Sanatani means living in harmony with nature and serving the society selflessly.
Such concepts are beyond the grasp of Congress and its INDI alliance partners who have found a new way to slander Hindus by using terms such as ‘Eradicate Sanatan Dharma,’ ‘Sanatani terror’ etc. Chavan would do well that there is no difference between the terms Sanatani, Hindu, Hindu Dharma, and Hindutva. These are only different names for the Dharma defended by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and propagated by Sant Tukaram and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. No matter how hard Congress tries to deflect the issue, their contempt and hate for Hindu Samaj is evident.

I listened to the interview video of Ex-Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan, and he comes out as a typical emboldened sidekick of Mohammadan gangsterism. Why Hindus patronize and empower these rascals, if not due to fear and cowardice of cattles facing hyenas?
1. “Don’t use the term ‘Saffron terrorism’. If you want to use, you use ‘Hindu fundamentalist’.”
=> So, Mr. Chavan, you are okay to associate the word ‘fundamentalist’ with Hindu religion.
2. “When I was a chief minister, I tried against a Sanatan organization to ban it. This is a fundamentalist organization, this is a terrorist organization.”
=> So, you are associating the word ‘terrorism’ with ‘Sanatan’ organization. You are implying terrorism inspired by the practice of Sanatan/Hindu religion. Mr Chavan, have you ever acknowledged in your life a ‘Muslim terrorist organization’ ? Or you feel absolutely safe demonizing Hindus? And feel perfectly safe and even emboldened by being a dhimmi sidekick in Mohammadan gangsterism?
3. “If you want to talk about Hindu terrorism, want to talk about religion…”.

=> Mr. Chavan, in your life, have you ever mentioned ‘Islamic terrorism’, despite there being numerous incidents, numerous victims of terror of radical Mohammadans, all inspired by Mohammadanism?
=> You and Congress always keep on implying that Godse’s violence was inspired by Hinduism, but you not only silent on Mohammadanism inspired terrorism, murder, rape incidents within India, and in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and all over the world, but when needed deny such incidents by saying that terrorism has no religion!
Hey dhimmi sidekick, all your boldness and cunning seems to be emanating due to your ganging up with Mohammadan terror ecosystem in the country, and due to almost all Hindus being selfish cowards rewarding you with a powerful political career, with not a little fear for your safety.
5. “Then we see naxalite violence in Manipur. Innocent people are being killed. There was the event of killing Rajiv Gandhi. Which religion people were they?”
=> Naxalist, socialists, communists in our country think of Hindu dharm and practices as superstition, but Islam and it’s practices are not considered superstition. Manipur Naxals have targeted Hindu Temples, educational institutions and businesses with illegal taxation. LTTE was not inspired by Christianity or any other religion. Manipur Hindus only recently have started resisting oppression, but Congress presence there is anti-Hindu and full of hate for Hinduism.
6. “Terrorism has no majhab, no dharm.”
=> Mr Chavan, you and the Congress organization you belong to do not see religious bigotry of Mohammadan terrorists and their terroristic incidents. But, not only have you criminals coined the terms Saffron/Hindu/Bhagwa/Sanatan terrorism, and talked at high government level with United States and other countries, but also falsely implicated, tortured and jailed Hindus when Mohammadan terrorists caused terror incidents.
7. This is a mindset of BJP to attach a religion to a terrorism (act).
=> Mr Chavan, you and Congress have coined and attached Saffron/Hindu/Bhagwa/Sanatan with terrorism. Everybody must recognize religion inspired terrorism and not just recognize it with Godse.
