Sundar Pichai speaks up against antisemitism; netizens wonder why he doesn’t speak against Hinduphobia

Amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai posted on social media platform X.

He wrote, “Deeply saddened by the terrorist attacks in Israel this weekend and the escalating conflict underway. Google has 2 offices and over 2,000 employees in Israel. It’s unimaginable what they’re experiencing. Our immediate focus since Saturday has been on employee safety. We’ve now made contact with all of our local employees, and will continue supporting them. We’re also working to provide reliable, accurate information to people through our products, as well as sharing the cyber activity that our experts are seeing. We’ll be supporting humanitarian and relief organizations on the ground. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.” quoting Google’s employee, product, and cybersecurity response to attacks in Israel.

He followed it up with another post saying, “Important to call out and stand against antisemitism at this terrible moment. It’s never acceptable. Proud to sign this commitment to raise awareness and condemn this historic evil. https://adl.org/workplace-pledge-fight-antisemitism

Netizens, while congratulating him for his openness about antisemitism, reminded him about the plight of minority Hindus in Pakistan or Bangladesh.

Some also asked him to call out the rampant Hinduphobia across the US.

Some even asked him to take action against the anti-Hindu and anti-Brahmin content on Google’s YouTube platform. No action has been taken against such channels despite multiple reports.

Another netizen also mentioned the Nazi Hakenkruz (hooked cross) being translated as the Swastika on Google Translate. Despite being a Hindu, it is strange that it never crossed Sundar Pichai’s mind to do something about this all these years.

Another netizen reminded him to bring back the String YouTube channel that was removed from the platform recently.

Will Sundar Pichai speak up about the plight of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh? Will he speak up against Hindumisia/Hinduphobia, especially in the US, where Sundar Pichai is a citizen? He also did not speak up against the SB403 caste bill. Let’s wait and watch.
