Another young student and victim of grooming jihad from Kerala has committed suicide. A case has been registered against the student’s friend and classmate. Altaf, a Malayali classmate, has been booked by the police in the incident of 22-year-old Bhuvana Babu’s death.
It is unknown when and how the grooming jihadi trapped the young girl. Bhuvana committed suicide on Friday evening. Heartbreakingly, she messaged her family just before taking her life. Bhuvana reportedly said in the message that Altaf was responsible for her death and that he told her to go somewhere and die.
Bhuvana was from Thrissur and a final-year forensic science student at Yenepoya College, Derlakatte, on the outskirts of Mangaluru city. She ended her life in the house where she stayed as a paying guest. Her body was taken to Thrissur. She is survived by her father, KV Babu, mother, Shailaja, and sister Lakshmija.
After her death, the police started an investigation against Altaf, a classmate and a native of Alappuzha. Later, Pandeswar police took Altaf into custody. Pandeswar is one of Mangaluru’s upscale residential, commercial & financial centers.
Earlier, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had warned that Mangaluru had become the new hub for jihadi activities, including grooming jihad. They had requested the central government to set up a unit of the NIA in Mangaluru to check terror activities. Back then, VHP Mangaluru division secretary Sharan Pumpwell alerted that terror elements target Hindu girls from reputed families. He added that it is vital that community organizations plan meetings and educate youth against Love Jihad.
So-called secular media has always tried to whitewash such jihadi crimes and blamed Hindu ‘fringe elements’ whenever local Hindus have wanted to save such victims and preempt such jihadi offenses. Incidentally, Mangaluru is where Hindus first understood the concept of grooming jihad and its dangers. It is also where radical Islamist undercover agents like ‘The Wire’ began their campaign against the good work in which Hindu organizations were engaged.
How many young Hindu girls have to die before the administration wakes up? Parents must be extra cautious before sending their young girls to places like Mangaluru for higher education. Such students must be educated about the dangers of grooming jihad since the administration seems uninterested. Unless Hindu society wakes up, such atrocities will continue.
